Bucking Horse Sale
Miles City is famous for the Bucking Horse Sale, held yearly on the third weekend of May. While the Bucking Horse Sale’s primary focus is to showcase world-class stock to the industry’s top rodeo stock contractors, that’s only part of the fun. The Bucking Horse Sale also features live music, bull riding, a trade exposition, street dance and parade.
Pioneer Day
Following soon after the Bucking Horse Sale, Miles City celebrates its rich heritage during what’s known as Pioneer Day every June. Held at the Range Riders Museum, Pioneer Day includes a number of demonstrations, including how to churn butter and other ways of life from those who came before us and settled in the Miles City area. Tour the museum for free and get a glimpse into the pioneer way of life.
Eastern Montana Fair
Everyone loves a fair! The Eastern Montana Fair is held in late August in Miles City. Fair goers can attend the rodeo, view exhibitions, check out the home show, watch a tractor pull and even dance the night away at a concert. People from all around the Miles City area come to have fun during this summer event.
